MANILA, PHILIPPINES - General Nicolas Torre on Wednesday said he felt no resentment, after he was sacked from his post as Philippine National Police (PNP) chief.
"I have no resentment and I'm a good soldier. If there is an order, I just follow it," Torre said in Filipino and English in a media interview at the House of Representatives.
Asked whether he still supported President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., he replied, "Of course, of course."

The president, through Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, removed Torre as PNP chief on Tuesday after he allegedly disregarded an order by the National Police Commission (Napolcom) that invalidated his directive to reassign some PNP officials, including his successor, Lt. Nartatez, who was then deputy chief for administration, was transferred to the Area Police Command (APC) in Western Mindanao.
